A place for the geek in all of us.
Ahh, winter a time to relish in the fact that the spiders, ticks, millipedes, and creepy crawlies have vanished from this earth for a time. But, have they? Absolutely not, they are living with you. In fact, bugs have already found their way into your house for the winter and you don't even know it! There are literally hundreds of bugs in any home and if you wear shoes, have cracks and crevices that are open to the outside, or even leave your door open for a short time-they all have come in already!
Crickets are hiding in your damp basement, spiders are still spinning away in the abandoned corridors and crevices of your living space and yes even if you are cleaning all the time they are still going to be there. There are many people who after reading this are going to run out and grab bug spray or lysol and go crazy cleaning. However, that's only going to unleash chemicals into your home, and in the short and long term can be damaging for your health and your families. Bugs have been carried with human beings from the dawn of time-and they aren't going anywhere soon. Scientists do advise that pests like cockroaches and poisonous spiders should be eliminated.
The moral is the bugs are there, you just can't see them. Plus, what's in your wall? Imagination take flight!
