Millions of Stories...
A place for the geek in all of us.
Outlander fan understand that not only is it neccesary to read, and reread all of Diana Gabladon's books-but dressing the part also makes you even more of a diehard fan. Perusing the net, you can see tons of ideas for free patterns to make your own, and Hot Topic's awesome season 3 clothing line. Hot Topic sells a lot of fandom accessoires, but wearing this will make you feel better about not going through the standing stones and still waiting for your Jaimie to happen.
A herringbone tweed coat like Claire's from Outlander goes for $108.00 on Hottopic.com.
Or you can get a 1940s shirt dress in regular and plus sizes!!!!! So cool, I mean how many places have these clothes with a mod twist? I have to buy it all!!! Well, I'd like to.
Get this: they have Claire's party dress from season 2!
These dresses and clothes are definitely a must have for any fan. I've looked and looked for a line that is premade. There are a lot of patterns and DIY ideas out there, but this one is nice because it's done for you! Look for a post wearing these in the future!
Outlander fans love traveling to the places that remind them of the Starz series Outlander and the books as well. The books take readers from Scotland to France to England, then to spots in Nazi Germany, and then to the New World. This is later in the series when Jaime and Claire are traveling to the caribbean, looking for Ian, Jaime's abducted nephew. After that they end up in the American colonies and specifically settle down a place they call Fraser's Ridge. It's a mountainous, spot nestled in the mountains of North Carolina. You can find the books on Amazon or in the right hand links on the sidebar. I love them, so they will ALWAYS be posted there!!!!

The search for fraser's ridge
If you have a chance to visit North Carolina be sure to check out the green forests, and babbling brooks of the mountains. OutlanderAmerica.com has been sourcing out spots already where Jaime (completely fictional but we all feel like he's real) and Claire (the other real/fictional person we love to think about) would have travelled, lived and you know...
The ridge is located on a plot in the mountains according to DG of about 10,000 square acres between the Yadkin River and Boone North Carolina. North Carolina boasts the largest population of Scot's in the country!! DG chose this place in her book for good reasons! Highland culture is especially strong in the mountains here.
Boone, North Carolina
Boone is a great place to start touring your book, and don't forget to stop in at the Mast Farm Inn, where they hosted a gathering last year! In July, they have the annual Highland Games on Grandfather Mountain! You definitely needneed to check that out!
Have you been to any outlander locations? I'd love to hear about it. Have pictures? Share them with us!
#droughtlander is purgatory
If you haven't read the Outlander series by Diane Gabaldon, get out there and grab a copy or two or three. Actually, the series is quite large and she has a dedicated fanbase both new and old (pre-Starz and Starz). The books are great, the scenes are steamy, and the history is seriously vibrant. I am hooked, and have been actually since 1995 when I first read Outlander.
